With a name like GLIDDEN, you can be pretty sure racing and winning are going to be a big part of that thing we all call LIFE. The Eagles called it "life in the fast lane". Some people call it life in the other lane. Others call it life in the record lane. Billy just calls it life. Just another day at the office. The 190-200 mph six second office that is. Not everyone's idea of just another day--- but for Billy its life. Records, Championships, Championships in different organizations, Championships in different classes, two National Championships in two organizations in two cars in two classes --- all in the same year --- pretty freakin' amazing! All this from two people, two birds, and one goal --- the final round.
Using experience gained while racing his own "junk" and working with his Dad ( 10 time Pro Stock Champion, Bob Glidden) Billy has honed his skills to an incredibly sharp edge. Combine that with an extremely good lookin', talented, tenacious partner in life (also known in some circles as Crew Chief of the Year & to her parents as Shannon) and you have a combination that's hard to beat.
While the air temperature, tire pressure, displacement, nitrous jet, and other factors may vary race to race, some things don't. Consistency, going rounds and winning races --- a Glidden tradition -- something we are very proud to be a part of.
